If you haven’t figured it out by now, we’ve got a thing for blues guitarists. Ben Rice is one of our favorite new discoveries and you’re about to find out why. The Pacific Northwesterner is starting to expand his reach beyond his stomping grounds and is building a national and international audience. Ben studied jazz guitar in college and played with both a mariachi band and a Celtic folk ensemble on campus. When it comes to influences, he drinks from a deep well that started with Al Green and Alice Cooper from his parents’ record collection, and continued with his blues adventure, one that started with B.B. King, Muddy Water and Skip James. Curiosity fed this cat. Onstage you’ll hear all manner of electric blues conveyances from resophonic guitars to homemade cigar boxes to traditional guitars. We are so excited to watch your minds be blown!
