Late Night Shows
When the evening sets in, the music is far from over in Telluride!
Once the late night shows get jamming, a walk down Telluride’s Main Street feels like a walk down Beale Street in Memphis. The nightlife in Telluride is thriving scene built on a strong, musically-charged local culture and there’s plenty to experience each night of the festival. Thursday’s kick-off events include the Sunset Blues Concert, the exclusive Bal De Maison Opening Show and luxurious Music Maker Relief Foundation Fundraiser Dinner. Friday and Saturday evening hosts four different “Juke Joint” shows each night showcasing a variety of artists up close and personal and a stand-up comedy venue. Sunday the festival concludes with the celebrated Fais Do-Do Closing Show.
Bal De Maison
Thursday, September 12, 2023 - Opening Party
Doors: 8:30 pm | Showtime: 9:00 pm
Originally Bal de Maison's were dances held at someones house - typically in the front room which was cleared of furniture. Quite often these dances were announced by the host of the party simply by standing on their porch and yelling to their neighbor. Word would often travel up to 40 miles this way. Well here is our shout out - we are having a dance party to open the Festival, spread the word!
Please note, VIP and Juke Joints passes are not valid for show entry, this is a separate ticket. To purchase tickets, please click here.
Juke Joints
Friday & Saturday, September 13 & 14, 2023 at 10 pm
After the festival ends in Town Park, we continue the music at 10:00 pm on both Friday and Saturday nights at the local “Juke Joint" shows located in various venues throughout Telluride. Juke Joint passes allow access to all Juke Joint venues for the night purchased. See 5 different shows each night for $30.
Be aware, Juke Joint passes do not guarantee entry to the show, all venues are first come, first served and based on the capacity of each venue. As they fill up, we direct you to which Juke Joints are not full. As the night goes on, crowds at the Juke Joints tend to rotate, so even if you can't catch the start of the band you want to see, there's a good chance you can catch the last half of their show. So, if there is one particular band you really want to see, get in line early for the show! Doors open at 9:45 pm. Doors open at 9:30 pm for VIP pass-holders. The VIP 3-Day Pass includes entry into all Juke Joints, dependent on capacity.
Stand Up Comedy
Comedy returns to Blues & Brews with stand-up shows from established and up-and-coming comedians. On Friday and Saturday nights, we will host the "Dirty Shows" starting at 10:00 pm during the Juke Joints. For the young at heart, please note that some of the comedy will be adult in nature. Catch all four comedians again on the Blues Stage, Saturday and Sunday afternoons during the Festival.
Fais Do Do
Sunday, September 15, 2023 - Closing Show
Doors: 8:30 pm | Showtime: 9:00 pm
"Fais Do Do" roughly translates to "Cajun dance party". The parties were named for the gentle command ('go to sleep') young mothers offered bawling infants so that they could get back out and dance with their husbands before someone else did. This is our final show of the weekend and soon we will all go to sleep! This show is a highlight for many and one you won't want to miss!
