2021 Covid-19 Entry Requirements
Important 2021 Health & Safety Update
Proof Of Full Vaccination Or Proof Of A Negative Covid-19 Test Is Required For All Festival Entry
As the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival draws closer, our team has been working hard to produce the event in a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment. The safety of all event participants and our community is paramount. As such, we have always kept in mind that regulations could tighten, understanding that the nature of the pandemic can change day-to-day.
In response to the growing threat of the delta variant, and in addition to the measures we already have in place, proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative Covid-19 test is required for all festival entry.
This is an important safety precaution implemented to protect our festival attendees, staff, artists, vendors, volunteers and community members. We are doing this to protect YOU and your fellow music lovers. The music industry collectively wants to continue to be able to bring music to you and is urging events to adopt these safety protocols, even when local or state regulations do not require it. Your cooperation and participation is appreciated. For those unvaccinated, free testing will be available on-site.
We strongly encourage all guests to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. In order to be fully vaccinated in time for Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, you’ll need to have received your last Moderna or Pfizer (or single Johnson & Johnson) dose by September 3. If you are not yet vaccinated, any of the vaccine providers can be completed in time for the festival! To do that, please receive your first dose of Pfizer or Moderna no later than this Friday, August 6 or your single dose of Johnson + Johnson no later than September 3.
How Does It All Work?
“Verified” Wristbands are required to enter ALL festival venues (Telluride Town Park, Blues Stage, Campground, Late Night Venues). In order to receive wristbands, festival-goers must individually present proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 test (time-stamped within 48 hours) to health staff members responsible for document verification.
Document verification will take place at a Health Check-In Station, located next to the festival box office (300 E Pacific Street). Once health documents have been verified, participants will receive a “Verified” Wristband which is valid for the duration of the festival weekend. Proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 test is only required to be shown once during initial check-in.
After receiving a “Verified” Wristband, attendees can either visit the box office to collect non-RFID wristbands or skip the box office if they already have RFID wristbands that are shipped in advance.
The acceptable forms of vaccination proof or Covid-19 test are as follows:
An original, official covid vaccination certificate or photo of an original, official covid vaccination certificate (Cell phone photos or myColorado™ app vaccination records are acceptable - all text must be legible)
OR
A valid original negative Covid-19 Test (time-stamped within 48 hours of event check-in)
ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE PROVIDE
A valid government-issued photo ID to cross-check identity with health documents
Any person found presenting counterfeit credentials will not be allowed entry into the event.
Free Testing On-Site
Testing for Covid-19, provided free-of-charge by Curative, will be available via a mobile testing center on-site, conveniently located next to the festival box office. Curative testing is covered by private insurance or billed to the CARES Act. Testing will be available concurrent with all box office hours listed below:
Wednesday: 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Thursday: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
Sunday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
We strongly urge all festival-goers to exercise caution from now until the festival date. We are all in this together and the success of the festival is determined by our collective actions and attention.
If you test positive for Covid-19, you will NOT be allowed entry into the event. Refunds and rollovers will be issued for persons who are denied entry due to a positive Covid-19 test. Festival-goers that test positive must leave the festival premises and are suggested to quarantine at a secure location for the appropriate length of time.
Additional Safety Precautions
We have made specific changes to our site and operations that allow for increased physical distancing of attendees and control traffic flows and mitigate potential congestion. Based on current guidelines from the State of Colorado, Telluride Blues & Brews Festival will not be requiring masks outdoors, however, please respect your fellow fans who choose to wear a mask.
We strongly suggest mask-wearing for all attendees in certain scenarios and locations, including, but not limited to:
If you are not yet fully vaccinated.
While waiting in line at the box office, main gate, campground gate, late night venues, food vendors, bars, merchandise and craft vendors.
In other scenarios where you are unable to maintain a minimum distance of 3 feet from attendees outside of your household.
In addition, the festival has tripled the amount of hand wash and sanitization stations throughout the venue at Health Stations and increased the frequency of periodic cleaning of restrooms and high-touch areas.
New Mobile App Offers Colorado Residents A Contactless Digital ID And Covid-19 Vaccination Record
myColorado™ provides secure and convenient access to state services anytime and anywhere. The contactless Colorado Digital ID™ available in myColorado allows you to create a secure electronic version of your driver license or state identification (ID) card for proof of identification in addition to Covid-19 vaccination records (from the Colorado Immunization Information System).
Covid-19 vaccinations display in the same format as the paper CDC card the user received when they were vaccinated. myColorado app users can download a copy to their device, refresh or delete the record.
What if unvaccinated members in my group fail their Covid-19 test?
If you find yourself in this situation, you must decide if both parties should leave the festival together, or if one of the parties shall seek lodging elsewhere.
What if I already had Covid-19 in the past 90 days?
All attendees are required to show proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 test within 48 hours of check-in, regardless if they had Covid-19 in the past 90 days.
