Blues For Breakfast

Join us for Blues for Breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday and Sunday mornings at the Telluride Elks Lodge (located at the corner of Townsend and Pacific). Enjoy solo performances by blues musicians while dining on scrambled eggs, pancakes, hash browns, sausage, coffee, and juice. The music is FREE. Breakfast, Bloody Marys, Mimosas, and a full bar are extra ($). Saturday's Blues for Breakfast coincides with our Telluride Blues Challenge - come eat breakfast and watch six musicians vie for a spot on the main stage later in the day. On Sunday, Chris Dracup, Mohead and the runner-up from the Telluride Blues Challenge will play at the Blues for Breakfast.

The Telluride Blues Challenge was formed out of a partnership between the Telluride Blues Society and the Colorado Blues Society. The new event showcases talented solo and duo performer(s) who excel in the Blues genre, acoustic and electric, who are not currently signed. The top six entries wil play at the Blues for Breakfast on Saturday, September 13 to compete for cash prizes, a premium Martin guitar courtesy of Telluride Music and a 20 minute set on the Main Stage at the 2014 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, and a full set at the 2015 Festival.
