Samantha Fish - "Somebody's Always Trying" Live At Telluride Blues & Brews Festival

Three is the magic number. In the case of Samantha Fish, who’s making her third consecutive appearance at the festival, we aren’t kidding about the magic. She snuggled right up to our hearts in year one, charming us senseless with her smoking hot riffs, powerful voice, and assured songwriting. Her second time around, she hit the stage with her “souped up band,” an outfit that included horns and even more drive. Minds were blown. Let’s just say she did not disappoint. So when she said yes to coming back to the mountains for our Silver Anniversary, well … the pleasure is all ours. With each passing year, Samantha grows artistically, her energy approaches supernova, and her charisma shines bright as the Colorado sunshine on a perfect, September afternoon. No wonder she’s become a fan favorite. Easily shoulder-to-shoulder with the best guitarists in the business, she reminds us of the quote attributed to Ginger Rogers, Fred Astaire’s elegant dance partner. “I do everything a man does only backwards and in high heels.”
