Shakey Graves To Headline Colorado Music Party At Sxsw 2014
Shakey Graves (one-man-band-phenom Alejandro RoseGarcia) will headline day two of this year’s Colorado Music Party showcase at Austin’s South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival. Appearing courtesy of the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival, and represented by Colorado’s 7s Management, the Austin based artist was selected to wrap up the final day of the showcase on Friday, March 14 as a demonstration of the uniquely talented acts the Colorado music industry attracts.
“Telluride Blues & Brews Festival is proud to have Shakey Graves perform as a headliner for the Colorado Music Party. Telluride Blues & Brews is treating this as an early announcement and special treat for his placement at the 21st Annual Blues & Brews Festival, September 12, 13, 14, 2014,” said Steve Gumble, director of marketing and public relations for SBG Productions. “Although he does not hail from Colorado, the moment we heard Shakey we knew he would be wellreceived in the Colorado music market and we wanted to share his music with everyone. People from Colorado are known for their musical passion and to be able to bring Shakey’s soulful voice and guitar mastery to the Colorado Music Party is an honor.”
Shakey Graves was recently featured in Paste Magazine as “The Best of What’s Next”, and in 2012, the mayor of Austin proclaimed February 9 to be “Shakey Graves Day” (the third annual celebration takes place this upcoming weekend). According to the The New York Times, Shakey Graves “makes the oneman band approach look effortless.”
