David Craig's creative expression turned to the visual arts as well nearly 20 years ago. He prefers painting and while anything can be fodder for his canvas, Craig finds portraits to be the most fascinating. His recent work is a series of blues singers including Tab Benoit, Billie Holiday, Etta James and Professor Longhair. "Fess" was the signature image created for the 2012 Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival's tribute to the late, great, Louisiana music legend. Craig was also honored when his portrait of “Gatemouth” Brown, a personal gift to his manager, was chosen to grace the cover of what turned out to be “Gatemouth’s” last cd, “Timeless”. Returning to the Festival for his second year as our poster artist, David Craig presents to you, Telluride. His poster will be available for purchase in our Merchandise Tent during the festival weekend. David will be in person for poster signing in the festival store from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
For the past 25 years, Keith 'Scramble' Campbell has recorded the vibe of music in colorful and spirited paintings. His astounding body of work encompasses not only a who’s who of musical legends but some of the most popular emerging talent in live music today. Scramble's work has crossed the boundaries of musical genres and has been the centerpiece of world-renowned festivals, concerts exhibits and special events. Telluride Blues & Brews is excited to welcome back 'Scramble' to the Festival! Scramble will be painting to the tunes all weekend at the festival. Keep an eye out for him and be sure to come by to say hello, admire his art, or even buy a "live" painting!
