2017 Telluride Blues Challenge Winner: Russ Chapman

Thank you to all the talented artists that entered this year's competition and congratulations to the winner of the 2017 Telluride Blues Challenge - Russ Chapman! Chapman competed against five other finalists at the festival's Telluride Blues Challenge during our annual Blues for Breakfast at the Telluride Elks Lodge on Saturday, September 16th. His winning performance earned him a premium Martin 00X1AE guitar provided by Telluride Music Company, plus he will also receive two performances at this year's and next year's Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, a spot on the 2018 Durango Blues Train and more!

The Telluride Blues Challenge is an annual competition hosted by the Telluride Blues Society and the Colorado Blues Society. The competition showcases talented musicians who excel in the Blues genre and is open to any solo performer(s), acoustic and electric, who are not currently signed to a major record label or publishing deal.
