If you attended the 2015 Blues & Brews Festival, you had the pleasure of meeting Leo “Bud” Welch, the last of the Mississippi Delta blues guitarists. Up until very recently, Leo "Bud" Welch was only known to his neighbors in his hometown of Bruce, Mississippi. Bud was born in 1932 and began playing guitar at the age of 13.  While making his living working in the logging industry and on the farm, he never quit playing guitar.
