We’re here for the love of Telluride, good friends, and great beer. Located in downtown Telluride, the on-site brewery, full bar and restaurant occupy a historic stone building from 1892. Order one of our fresh house brews or a classic cocktail, enjoy some alpine pub fare, and share the adventures of the day.
Built from stone and metal in 1892, the Stronghouse remains the last surviving intact building in Telluride’s historic Four Corners corridor. For decades it was a bustling warehouse supplying the town with hay and produce.
The Stronghouse underwent two years of extensive restoration and renovation to bring back its historical charm and reopen as a brew pub in 2020.
The stone walls, once painted white, were restored to their original patina. An 1880s mahogany Brunswick bar, originally from a saloon in St. Louis, was brought in and topped with a 1909 brass cash register. On either side of the bar, a large manual lift and oversize scale remain in place as they did a century ago.
