Terry "Harmonica" Bean dedicates himself to honoring and carrying on the blues. Born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, where he lives to this day, Bean was raised surrounded by music. His father and grandfather were both musicians, and Bean spent his youth sitting on the porch taking in the sounds of Hill Country blues.
In his youth, Bean was a baseball player, slated to be drafted in the major leagues after high school. But an injury derailed his plans, and he found himself pursuing the blues.
Bean's live performance incorporates his harmonica, guitar playing, and singing, often all at the same time. He infuses his sets with passionate stories from his childhood and musings about the blues.
