There’s not enough room here to list all of Robert Cray’s accomplishments and accolades as a blues and soul musician, but suffice it to say, his induction into the Blues Hall of Fame and his well-deserved Americana Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award for live performance are just a couple hints as to his stature. His guitar work is silken and understated and his voice is warm and rich. And, his humble sense of awe at the opportunities music has afforded him throughout his long career endears us to him all the more. “Having had the opportunity to play with some of our heroes was more than we could have ever imagined,” Robert said. “Albert Collins, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, and the big stages with The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, and Eric Clapton.” Robert Cray is indeed a class act.
