Anders Osborne "Send Me A Friend" Raffle

It isn’t the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival without Anders Osborne! From a New Orleans hopeful to a blues-rock mainstay, Anders has faced animosity climbed his way up the ladder. Once a self-proclaimed party animal, Anders is now a sober and dedicated professional musician. Inspired by his struggles touring while newly sober, Anders founded the “Send Me A Friend” program. Send Me A Friend is a non-profit organization and a national network of “sober friends” that are on call to come to a show and offer a helping hand and source of support for struggling musicians and music industry professionals.

"I mean, you have four or five sets. You're playing small breaks. There's no backstage; there's no tour manager that keeps people away. There's just you just sitting there in the bar waiting for the next set and that's — wow. That's difficult. Osborne says Send Me a Friend is about treating the music industry as a legitimate business, instead of as hobby you have to give up just because you're sober.” - Anders Osborne on NPR Music. Sunday, September 17th, 2017 - 'Closing Celebration'
Artist: Anders Osborne
Venue: Sheridan Opera House
Doors: 8:30 pm | Showtime: 9:00 pm

"Fais do-do" roughly translates to "Cajun dance party". The parties were named for the gentle command ('go to sleep') young mothers offered bawling infants so that they could get back out and dance with their husbands before someone else did. This is our final show of the weekend and soon we will all go to sleep! If you’ve ever caught a Fais Do Do with Anders Osborne, you know this is a show not to be missed. For more info, click here.
