With over 75 styles of beer to sample at tasting sessions at the 2022 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, the choices can be daunting! From classic lagers and IPAs, to wild sours and stouts, the complex flavors range far and wide. With so many unique tastes, aromas and colors, one may ask themself, “What makes a good beer or how do I evaluate this beverage?” While everyone has a unique palette and opinion, there are a set of loose guidelines to properly evaluate a beer. Compiled from experts, brewers and friends, here is our guide to sampling beer.

Register Your RFID Wristbands For Cashless Payments

The RFID system allows attendees to use their wristbands to purchase food, drinks and merch with the tap of a wrist, skip the lines at the box office, streamline movement between each area of the festival, and enjoy the elevated comfort of the soft cloth wristband material. Before you enter the festival, attendees must complete the mandatory wristband activation and register it with the correct attendee name and information.

2022 Blues For Breakfast

Wake up to a morning with live blues music, a hearty breakfast and drinks at Blues for Breakfast - a fundraiser for Telluride Blues Society and Telluride Elks Lodge! Kicking off at 9:00 am on both Saturday and Sunday of the Festival weekend, Blues for Breakfast offers a pleasant warm-up to a dynamic day and late night full of music. Join us at the "Back Porch Stage" at the Elks Lodge (located at 472 West Pacific Avenue), for a bite to eat as the first official chords of the day are struck. With cozy couches and comfortable seating along with rustic décor, the Back Porch Stage is the ideal setting to start your day off the right way!

2022 Telluride Blues Challenge Finalists Announced

Over the past few years, the Telluride Blues Challenge has risen to become one of the most distinguished music competitions in the Southwest! Musicians from all over the country submit their best songs for the chance to make the top six and earn an invite to the Blues Challenge Finals held at the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival. Congratulations to 2022 finalists Joe Waters, Johnny Johnston, Jhett Black, Charlie Rae, Anthony Arya and Eric Ramsey.

2022 Artist Lineup Additions - JD Simo & Rachel Ammons

We are excited to announce that blues-shredder JD Simo and the talented one woman band, Rachel Ammons are joining this year's lineup. We are saddened to share that Dwayne Dopsie will no longer perform at the 2022 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival due to a scheduling conflict. We look forward to welcoming him back in the future.

Beer Pairing Dinner Menu and Details Announced

The new Brewers Showcase at the 2022 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival will kick off in spectacular fashion on Thursday, September 15 at 6 pm with a decadent beer pairing dinner at Black Iron Kitchen + Bar at Madeline Hotel & Residences, an Auberge Resort. This exciting culinary evening will feature a delicious five-course meal prepared by Madeline’s Executive Chef Bill Greenwood, thoughtfully paired with craft beers from Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Telluride Brewing Company, Ska Brewing Company, Wild Provisions and Great Divide Brewing Company. The event will also feature live music from Shane Hall and a gallery of fine paintings from festival poster artist Rob Gonzo.

The 2022 House of Brews Beer Styles Are Here

The House Of Brews Bar returns this year with local, regional and national breweries showcasing their best suds. Located in the Main Festival grounds the House of brews gives attendees a chance to enjoy a variety of beers while catching all of the action on the Main Stage. This year’s House Of Brews features a rotating list of styles from Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and 19 other breweries throughout the festival, with up to 10 styles available for purchase each day. With a focus on variety, each beer style will only be featured once throughout the festival and available in limited quantities.

Special Guests The Levee Horns Join Gov't Mule At The 2022 Festival

The 2022 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival will conclude in spectacular fashion as Gov’t Mule announces the addition of Special Guests the Levee Horns to their Main Stage headlining set on Sunday, September 18. Consisting of Mark Mullins (of Bonerama), Bobby Campo, Matt Perrine and Ward Smith the Levee Horns are celebrated for their stand out collaborative performances with the Last Waltz 40 band tours where they performed music from the “Last Waltz” with Warren Haynes, amongst other legendary artists.

The 2022 Tasting Session Beer Styles Are Here

The Telluride Blues & Brews Festival is excited to announce the 70+ styles of craft beer that will be poured at this year’s Tasting Sessions as part of the new Brewer Showcase.
