Ring In The New Year In Telluride

With Telluride ranked the #1 Ski Resort in North America by Conde Nast Readers... There is no shortage of things to do on and off the mountain!

For the last night, Holiday Magic spreads in the Town of Mountain Village with a light show in Heritage Plaza at 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.

Don't miss the renowned New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade kicking off at 6:30 p.m. on the Telluride Trail (on the Telluride side) and on Misty Maiden (on the Mountain Village side) where ski resort instructors ski/board down the slopes holding lit torches. An eight minute fireworks display is set to coincide with the Mountain VIllage side of the Torchlight Parade sponsored by TMVOA.

After the Torchlight parade, the fun doesn't stop there! The festival capital of the nation, boasts some incredible music this evening with Justin Townes Earle rocking the house with his full band at Club Red for a special New Years Eve show.  Wynonna and The Big Noise featuring country rock vocalist Wynonna Judd will be playing at the Sheridan Opera House.  Cranford Hollow, from Hilton Head South Carolina is bringing their Americana/ Rock n Roll sound to the Fly Me to The Moon Saloon.   

Also, be sure to make your way to Telluride's Main Street for the New Year's Eve countdown at the clock tower. It's the spot to be before midnight, as people gather around the San Miguel Courthouse just before midnight and count down to the new year "Telluride style".  A short fireworks display will take place on the east end of town and will visible from Main Street, and don't forget to look up?
